Crossbows and confidentiality
Injuries from weapons such as knives, guns or even crossbows can raise questions over confidentiality and a doctor's duty to contact the authorities.
If the patient declines their consent or are unable to give it then disclosures can still be made if they are required by law or can be justified in the public interest.
