A Bristol graduate, Professor Tim David moved to Manchester in 1978 and was appointed as chair in child health and paediatrics in 1991. With a special interest in medical regulation, he worked for the GMC helping to develop performance assessment, and was chair of the University of Manchester FTP committee between 2007-2018.
